Optical sorters provide significant value to food processing operations, ensuring the required quality grade is achieved while maximizing process yield and reducing labor requirements. This presentation discusses the latest advancements in optical sorting technology, using application examples in different food processing settings. Also discussed are technology trends and upcoming innovations, set to deliver further improvements to product quality, food safety, and process efficiencies.
Alex Austin has been Regional Manager for Key Technology, New Zealand and Australian since early 2001.
Growing up in the Bay of Plenty, Alex has gained over 40 years of experience in the New Zealand, United Kingdom and Australia food process industries including; brewery; dairy; vegetable, potato, fruit and snack foods. This experience includes: equipment design and manufacture, project engineering and management, commissioning, and sales: ranging from single pieces of equipment to complete green field plants.
Alex has resided in Melbourne since the mid-1980s, making several visits to New Zealand each year to see customers throughout the country.
