Presented by Kitty Sandoval, Sarah Yanez and Huzaifa Mohsinally

Kitty Sandoval
Kitty has over 15 years experience in the packaging industry. She started her career as a graduate Package Engineer in Avon Products in the Philippines right after graduation (Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering).

While working, she decided to study Engineering and Management because she was always interested in Environmental Management. Kitty left packaging after 2 years in Avon and worked with government and academia on hazardous waste management projects. in 2005 Kitty moved back to NZ and worked Heinz Watties for 3 years as Packaging Technologist. She then moved to Frucor Suntory in 2009 as a pack tech, and have progressed in my career since.  She is now a  Senior Packaging Manager leading the Frucor Suntory Oceania packaging team.

NPD in FMCG is her comfort zone and where she focused on as a tech.  Packaging sustainability in Frucor is her focus area and she loves talking to people about it, helping them understand why packaging isn’t as bad as others make it, how we can play a part in continuing to innovate.

In 2022 she and her husband bought Goldies Wholefoods, a small porridge start-up. This has been an exciting ride so far and has added a further set of skills in the e-commerce space. Sarah faces the same challenges as her clients day-to-day and enjoys the camaraderie that comes with that.
