Rob is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the broader industry, specializing in crafting tailored solutions to bolster unique business needs. Presently, he holds the position of CEO at The Packaging Forum, an industry-funded entity dedicated to implementing holistic circular end-of-life packaging solutions. Under his leadership, The Packaging Forum oversees two Government-endorsed voluntary initiatives: The Soft Plastic Recycling Scheme and the Glass Packaging Forum.

Currently, Rob takes on the role of Project Leader for an industry-driven endeavor: the collaborative design of a Plastic Packaging Product Stewardship Scheme (PPPS). Prior to this, Rob contributed his expertise to various capacities at Pernod Ricard, encompassing Sustainability, Quality, and Lean methodologies. He played a pivotal role in shaping global best practices that aimed to enhance the environmental impact of the company's products.

Rob boasts an extensive history of engagement with The Packaging Forum, including a tenure as Board Chair for over five years, driving transformative changes within the organization. His involvement with the Glass Packaging Forum spanned more than a decade, instrumental in propelling New Zealand's glass recovery rate from a mere 0% to an impressive 75% today.

Further exemplifying his commitment to sustainable progress, Rob previously chaired the Public Place Recycling Scheme, an initiative established by The Packaging Forum. This initiative facilitated the installation of additional litter bins (referred to as "binfrastructure") nationwide, leading to heightened out-of-home recycling rates and diminished litter in local communities.

Rob's recent endeavours encompass representation in the Container Return Scheme, a government-backed undertaking in New Zealand. With his corporate background spanning Sustainability, Lean manufacturing, and Quality management, Rob brings a pragmatic business perspective to his problem-solving approach. He values the power of collaboration in delivering best-in-class solutions and emphasises a positive outlook while forging purposeful partnerships, all in pursuit of substantial and meaningful outcomes.
